PA CAPITAL REGION - LOCAL LEAGUE OPPORTUNITIES:
LEGISLATIVE INTERVIEWS – Every year the League of Women Voters of PA (LWVPA) develops a list of questions for Local Leagues. The questions serve to gauge the attitudes, knowledge, and interests in the issues that the LWVPA has prioritized. These interviews are not intended to be “lobbying” sessions; rather they are fact-gathering events intended to help you and help LWVPA understand the priorities of your local legislators.
Local Leagues should schedule meetings or events in the manner which works best for them. Meetings may be held virtually or by phone. Our local League has a Zoom account that can be used. Sometimes, legislators’ staff are helpful in setting up the meetings. We always have at least 2 members conduct these interviews. You will not be alone.
SERVE ON A LWV PA Capital Region STEERING COMMITTEE OR A SUB-COMMITTEE – We are always looking for people interested in helping us plan and conduct activities for our Local League.
HELP DISTRIBUTE VOTER REGISTRATION AND MAIL-IN BALLOT APPLICATIONS To various locations in the central PA region but primarily Dauphin and Cumberland Counties.
